Business Offerings for Nonprofits

Adobe Systems

Adobe supports primary and secondary schools (U.S. K-12) and qualified nonprofit organizations/NGOs with donations of our latest version software. Adobe’s Software Donation Program allows schools and nonprofits/NGOs to request a maximum of four individually titled software products or one bundled software package per year.

The Nonprofit Training Program offers the staffs of local nonprofit organizations the technology training they need to better serve their client populations. Through the program, staff members receive Adobe software training for only a small administrative fee. This program currently serves nonprofit organizations in San Francisco, in the Silicon Valley area of California, and the Puget Sound area of Washington.

Alaska Air Group

Alaska Airlines allows customers to donate miles for many causes in partnership with various nonprofit organizations. These accumulated miles will be distributed at year-end to charities that Alaska Airlines and Horizon Air currently work with.

AirTran Airways

AirTran Airways donates a set of two coach tickets for each qualified nonprofit organization.

AMD

The AMD foundation has partnered with Games for Change to provide a toolkit for nonprofit organizations to create social issue games on such topics as the environment, energy consumption, poverty and health.

Amgen

AmgenMED makes education and charitable donations to organizations that advance medicine and health care, promote health care professional education, educate the public on diseases and medical conditions.

Anheuser-Busch

Anheuser-Busch will grant $50-$300 to eligible nonprofit organizations if an application is given by an Anheuser-Busch employee who is actively involved in the organization.

Bank of America

Bank of America is committed to helping create economically vibrant and stable communities. The mortgage foreclosure crisis has had devastating social and economic consequences for families and communities across the country. Recently, Bank of America and Countrywide Financial Corporation announced a $35 million neighborhood preservation and foreclosure prevention package.  The package, which is comprised of both grants and low-cost loan/investments supports nonprofit partners already conducting effective foreclosure prevention, financial and homebuyer education programs and activities.

Bayer Corporation

Twice a year, Bayer gives grants to non-profits in four different categories: 1. Education and Workforce Development, 2. Environment and Sustainability, 3. Health and Human Services, 4. Arts and Culture. Information on applying for any of their grants can be found on their website.

CA

Through the CA Together IT program, CA shares its software solutions and IT expertise with non-profit organizations to help them strengthen their IT infrastructures and build organizational capacity to better serve their clients.

Cardinal Health

The Cardinal Health Foundation is committed to improving preventative healthcare and wellness in communities where our employees live and work. We fund local education, programming and community partnerships that: 1) Promote active, healthy lifestyles for children, families and the elderly through the schools and the broader community, 2) encourage health literacy, patient education and engagement,3) prevent the abuse and misuse of prescription drugs. These grants range from $15,000 to $50,000 and are awarded to non-profit organizations.

Cisco Systems

Cisco Systems has partnered with Community Voice Mail to provide a free 24-hour voicemail system to those in need which will help improve their career prospects along with access to housing, healthcare, and hope.

Cisco Systems has partnered with TechSoup Stock which provides nonprofits and NGOs with donated and discounted technology products to help them improve their services to help more individuals in need.

CVS/Caremark

CVS/Caremark is stepping up it’s “Building Futures” program.  Their Workforce Initiatives team works with hundreds of nonprofits, schools, faith-based organizations and government agencies to find people who want to work, but who face barriers such as a disability, lack of education or age. They then offer job skills training and work experience, as well as vocational and career advancement opportunities through a variety of programs.

Ebay

Ebay’s “Giving Works” program allows listing an item on its auction site and donating 10%-100% of the final sale price to one of over 12,000 certified nonprofit organizations.

Gap

Gap Inc. donates a limited number of Appreciation Cards (gift certificates) and white T-shirts to youth-serving and women’s-based organizations that are nonprofit organizations.

Goldman Sachs

Goldman Sachs is committed to helping businesses grow and succeed, and helping clients achieve their goals. We take the same approach with the nonprofit sector, and over the years have dedicated staff and resources to provide nonprofits with advice and support. Goldman Sachs continues this tradition with the launch of The Capacity Building Initiative, a program that helps nonprofit organizations increase their impact through capacity building assistance.

Hewitt

Hewitt Associates provides pro-bono human resources consulting to not-for-profit organizations that could not otherwise afford them, as well as in-kind donations, of call centers, printing, technology, real estate space, and other services.

The Home Depot, Inc.

The Home Depot Foundation invests millions of dollars each year in nonprofit organizations whose missions align with the Foundation’s interests in supporting the production and preservation of affordable, efficient and healthy housing.

Men’s Wearhouse

The Men’s Wearhouse is gearing up for its 2009 National Suit Drive as a result of the success the 2008 drive had. The next drive takes place in September 2009, but the Men’s Wearhouse is actively looking for additional nonprofit organizations and community partners to participate in their next drive.

Net Apps

Net App’s Volunteer Time Off program enables each employee to volunteer five days per year, with full pay, during regular business hours to support the non-profit organizations or schools of their choice.

Northrop Grumman

Twice a year, Northrop Grumman awards deserving non-profits grant money for work with education, veteran affairs, health and human services, as well as the environment. Follow the link to find out if your non-profit qualifies.

Nvidia

Nvidia contributes a $30,000 grant to a nonprofit organization voted upon by their employees through their newly launched High Impact Program.

Northern Trust

Northern Trust supports nonprofit organizations focusing on Social Welfare, Education, arts and Culture.

Public Service Enterprise Group

PSEG has created a page full of resources for nonprofit organizations to utilize in capacity building. More information can be found on their website.

Rockwell Collins

Rockwell Collins saw a need in the community, especially with the schools, to provide affordable technology. The REACT Center was created to provide computers for student use in schools, to provide students and teachers with hands-on training in computer hardware, promote a greater awareness in students and teachers regarding the use of “real world” technology, and to serve as a clearinghouse for accepting excess computer equipment from area businesses and donating refurbished computers to schools and other nonprofit community organizations.

Scholastic

Scholastic partners with organizations and corporations that distribute books to children or families free of charge. The organizations or corporations receive deep discounts and free shipping on books to distribute.

Staples

Staples supports nonprofit organizations making a positive difference in the local community through “We Care” gift cards, which enable nonprofit organizations to obtain supplies from Staples needed to make a community event or program a success.

United Airlines

United Airlines allows customers to support select nonprofit organizations with whom they partner through the Mileage Plus Charity Miles Program. Through the program, Mileage Plus members can donate a minimum of 1,000 miles. These miles will provide air travel for families, patients or staff traveling for treatment, research and disaster response.

Wachovia

Wachovia developed several financial education tools and programs that are delivered by non-profit partners to facilitate financial literacy classes to ensure that lower-income consumers can access financial services.  The three programs that they sponsor include, eCommunitiesfirst®, Money Smart, and Extra Credit.
