Bank of America

Bank of America has partnered with The Alliance for Stabilizing our Communities – led by the National Urban League (NUL), the National Council of La Raza (NCLR), and the National Coalition for Asian Pacific American Community Development (National CAPACD) -  to assist multicultural homeowners facing foreclosure identify and procure the best housing solutions possible.  Specifically, the alliance will direct new resources to a nationwide network of local housing counseling entities in 27 communities with numbers of multicultural homeowners at risk of foreclosure above the national average.  This is part of Bank of America’s $35 million neighborhood preservation and foreclosure prevention package. 

Citi

Citi’s Office of Homeownership Preservation is committed to helping keep people in their homes.

ConocoPhillips

ConocoPhillips is actively involved in providing low-income homeowners, particularly elderly and disabled families, with renovated, energy-efficient homes. Additionally, ConocoPhillips has joined the American Petroleum Institute on the Rebuilding Together initiative to help train the affiliates to include energy efficiency as a main part of home renovation.

Department of Housing and Urban Development

HUD provides resources for families and individuals to keep their home and try and avoid foreclosure.

Fannie Mae

Fannie Mae has Making Home Affordable.gov.   The program assists prospective home buyers with home purchases, and helps to stabilize communities impacted by the mortgage market downturn.

Fifth Third Bank

Fifth Third Mortgage plays a key role in supporting homeownership by offering refinancing and modification opportunities under the federal Making Home Affordable Program.

Freddie Mac

Freddie Mac has implemented the “REO Rental Initiative” which is a temporary rental initiative under which qualified, former owner-occupants and tenants are offered an option to lease properties in which they reside that have been acquired by Freddie Mac as a result of foreclosure.

Homeownership Preservation Foundation

Through their 888-995-HOPE™ Hotline, the Homeownership Preservation Foundation can provide answers, connection to a counselor, and comprehensive telephone counseling to help homeowners avoid foreclosure. They are an independent nonprofit that provides counselors from HUD-approved agencies dedicated to helping homeowners.

Hope Now Alliance

The HOPE NOW Alliance includes a number of counseling organizations, which consists of all HUD intermediaries that  have offices across the United States. The organizations play  a key role in the success of HOPE NOW, providing borrowers  in-depth debt management, credit counseling and overall foreclosure counseling.

KeyBank

KeyBank provides debt and equity financing for affordable housing, and community and economic development revitalization in retail banking markets.

Lennar

The Peace of Mind Mortgage Payment Protection program, supported by Lennar and Universal American Mortgage Company, helps ensure mortgage payments will be made in the event an individual loses his/her job.

Pulte Homes

The DreamKeeper program, a mortgage protection plan, provides up to $2,000 per month toward an individual’s mortgage payment for up to four consecutive months if he/she involuntarily becomes unemployed.

Ryland Homes

Ryland Homes has a “tool box” section on their website to help homebuyers plan and understand the many aspects of purchasing a home.

Sears

“Heroes at Home” is a program Sears Holdings has created with Rebuilding Together in response to an urgent need to assist military families facing hardship. Rebuilding Together is committed to bringing warmth, safety and accessibility to homeowners who do not have the financial or physical resources to complete home repairs and other necessary improvements.

Quality Float Works, a 15-person manufacturing firm in Shamburg, Illinois, provided two of its employees with interest-free loans so that the employees did not have to face foreclosure on their homes.

The Home Depot, Inc.

The Home Depot Foundation invests millions of dollars each year in nonprofit organizations whose missions align with the Foundation’s interests in supporting the production and preservation of affordable, efficient and healthy housing.

United Rentals

United Rentals branches across the country supplied more than 1,000 pieces of equipment and countless contractor supplies in support of ABC’s Extreme Makeover: Home Edition to help build homes for many families.

Valspar

Valspar is partnering with Habitat for Humanity to help with neighborhood revitalization through home building, specifically through A Brush with Kindness. Volunteers transform neighborhoods by painting home exteriors, providing minor repairs and landscaping; these tasks can be difficult for low income, disabled and senior homeowners.

Wells Fargo

The Wells Fargo Housing Foundation has teamed up with Habitat for Humanity to create low-income homeownership opportunities. Overall, the Housing Foundation has contributed more than $45 million towards loans and grants, more than 100,000 volunteers and more than four million volunteer hours. Together, the Wells Fargo Housing Foundation and Habitat for Humanity have built more than 2,300 homes in the past 14 years, an average of 164 homes annually.

Wrigley

The Chicago area associates helped build the first Wrigley Habitat for Humanity house, which was the result of over 3,600 hours volunteerism.
